Dr. Kasenow is an innovative researcher in the field of aquifer analysis specializing in real world applications. He received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from EMU, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Western Michigan University. He is a Certified Ground Water Professional (NGWA/AGWSE), and a certified Professional Geologist (AIPG). For two years he was Director of Research for the Southeast Regional Ground Water Education in Michigan Center (SER-GEMS).

Collectively, Dr. Kasenow is the author of over fifty books, monographs, scientific papers, software packages, and abstracts, including: Applied Ground Water Hydrology and Well Hydraulics, Introduction of Aquifer Analysis, Analysis and Design of Step-Drawdown Tests, Determining Aquifer Parameters Using Regression Analysis, Production Well Analysis, Recovery Analysis, Hydrogeology and Hydrogeochemistry of a Northern Bog, and Theis Made Easy. He is co-author of the popular ground water analysis package, Aquifer Parameter Estimator (APE).

Dr. Kasenow was a major player in the organization and development of the current hydrogeology and environmental analysis curriculum at EMU. His current research is primarily concerned with the estimation of aquifer parameters, and the relationship between lakes, rivers, wetlands, and ground water. Dr. Kasenow's current aquifer analysis research has recently appeared in The Professional Geologist.
