Objectives
Students who successfully complete this master's degree will be uniquely prepared to begin careers by combining two closely related fields. Students will select a concentration in either Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Planning (P). The concentration in Geographic Information Systems stresses GIS software programs widely utilized in urban and regional planning and other related fields throughout the United States. Students who choose the Planning concentration will be prepared to work in public planning agencies or private consulting firms, and will be highly desired because they have complementary GIS skills.
