Applying for graduation
From 2005 to 2007 Graduate Catalog

Graduation requirements:

It is the student's responsibility to see that all requirements for graduation have been met. Candidates for graduation must submit an application, available in the Office of Records and Registration, on the Graduate School's web site, and in the class schedule book, on or before the deadlines listed in the class schedule book each semester. Accompanying the application should be a Program of Study, reviewed by your program adviser and signed by both you and the adviser. Deadlines for applying are generally within the first two weeks of the semester. A non-refundable fee of $90 is due with the application and must be submitted to the Cashier's Office.

If course work is completed during the Spring or Summer terms, your name will appear in the December commencement program and you can return to participate in the event. If you have not completed all course work by the end of a Winter semester, you may request to participate in the April graduation ceremony only if youg have six or fewer hours to be completed (including any I grades). Your name will not be in the program, but you can walk across the stage and celebrate with family and friends.

Once the application for graduation has been processed, the Office of Records and Registration will send information about commencement tickets, event logistics and details for ordering cap and gown.
