During one Winter semester
undergrad and graduate students were involved with studio courses in Pinckney
and Adrian. Below are letters of thanks from city leaders in those communities.
From Adrian:
I would like to take this
opportunity to thank the students for a very informative presentation. The
entire class provided many excellent suggestions and strategies for the
downtown. A number of these ideas will be reviewed for possible implementation.
I have also made copies of
your PowerPoint presentation for the Downtown Development Authority Board
members, City Commission members and anyone else requesting a copy. I invite
you to revisit our city again; hopefully you will see the beginning efforts of
revitalization within the year.
Very truly yours, Carol
Konieczki, Community Development Director
And from Pinckney:
I would like to take the
time to thank your Site Planning Studio students for your presentations on the
Patterson Lake Products property.
The student ideas were
thought-provoking. I was especially pleased to see that the information the
Village provided to your class was utilized, and in very innovative ways. I spoke
with many of the visitors from the Village and they were thoroughly impressed.
