GENERAL SUMMARY:  Manage, administer, and implement the goals and objectives of the Upward Bound pre-college program for underrepresented high school students.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge and skills in educational program planning, student counseling, organization, and general administration, typically acquired through the completion of a Master's degree in guidance and counseling, education administration/leadership, curriculum and instruction, social work or related human service field is necessary. Three years progressively more responsible experience administering an educational or human service program including program management and evaluation, fiscal responsibility, and staff supervision and development is required. Knowledge of the psychological, behavioral, and educational issues affecting the learning potential of low-income, potential first-generation, multicultural youth is necessary. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Successful grant writing experience is necessary.

 

DESIRED:  Knowledge of and experience with U.S. Department of Education TRIO programs is preferred.
