Scholarship Awards 2009-2010

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION is March 13, 2009.

There is one application for all three scholarships, you will be considered for any which you are eligible. In addition to specific eligibility requirements for each scholarship, recipients must show promise of distinction in their chosen field and demonstrate service to the University or the community at large. Scholarship awards are between $500 and $1000. See below for scholarship descriptions.

Scholarship Application for 2009-2010 -- COMING SOON!

The Women’s Association is proud of its scholarship support to EMU’s women students. Three types of awards are presented annually:

  1. EMU Women’s Association Endowed Scholarship

    • The principle of the endowment is preserved in perpetuity and scholarships are provided from the interest income.
    • Eligibility Requirements: An undergraduate female student must be a full-time junior or senior with an EMU G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

  2. EMU Women’s Association Merit Award for Outstanding Scholarship

    • The funding for this award comes from a portion of membership dues, donations, and fundraisers.
    • Eligibility Requirements: An undergraduate female student must be a full-time junior or senior with an EMU G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher.

  3. EMU Wives & Associates Scholarship

    • The principle of this endowed scholarship is preserved in perpetuity and scholarships are provided from the interest income.
    • Eligibility Requirements: An undergraduate female student may be a full-time or part-time sophomore, junior, or senior with an EMU G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

Please Note:

  • You can receive only one scholarship per year.

  • Each of the scholarships can be received only once.
