Emergency Management

The Eastern Michigan University Emergency Management Office is dedicated to creating and maintaining  a safe and resilient campus community through planning and education efforts.

Using an all-hazards approach, EMU Emergency Management works to mitigate the effects of, plan for, respond to and quickly recover from emergencies.

Emergency management is a systematic way to think through and manage the entire life cycle of an emergency. It improves effectiveness by clearly defining required capabilities, shortening the time required to gain control of an incident, and facilitating the rapid exchange of information about the incident.
