Applying For Graduation Online

You may now apply for graduation via My.Emich. *Effective August 17, 2016, the graduation application fee is $110 and will be billed to your student account.

  1. Open any supported browser and go to
  2. Log into My.Emich by entering your username and password
  3. Click on the Student Tab
  4. Scroll down to "Services Main Menu"
  5. Click on Student Services
  6. Click on Student Records
  7. Click on Apply to Graduate
  8. Follow the online instructions as you continue through the graduation application process.
Reapplication for Graduation

If you do not complete degree requirements in the semester you applied for graduation:

The Office of Records and Registration DOES NOT automatically update student graduation applications to a future graduation. Should you realize at any time during the semester for which you have applied for graduation, that your degree requirements will not be completed, notify the Office of Records and Registration. Once notification is received, the Office of Records and Registration will inactivate your current application; you must then reapply online for graduation for a future semester (no additional fee is required).

Notification must be made in writing and can be submitted:

  • In person: at either Service EMU location, Mckenny or The Student Center
  • By mail: Office of Records and Registration, 303 Pierce Hall, Ypsilanti, MI 48197
  • By Email: Note: must be sent from your My.Emich email address.
  • By Fax: 734.487.6808

NOTE: Failure to reapply for graduation for a future semester will result in a degree not being awarded. Remember, the application for graduation is a degree requirement that must be completed before the degree can be awarded.
