Faculty/Staff Housing FAQs

Who is eligible for Faculty/Staff Housing?

Any EMU employee, along with their legal dependents, is eligible to apply for housing.

^Top

What are the application requirements?

You must first request a Faculty/Staff Application (see “request application” information below).

In addition to your application, you are required to submit a copy of your marriage license (if married), copies of birth certificates for your children (if applicable), and proof of employment. If you have legal guardianship over another family member, you will need to submit copies of your court paperwork declaring your guardianship.

What are the occupancy limits?

Housing permits a resident to have up to three additional legal dependents. Children over the age of 18 are not considered to be legal dependents and are not permitted to reside with you.

Family groups of two are permitted to reside in a one or two bedroom unit; all larger family groups are permitted to reside in two bedroom units only.

Where can I live?

Faculty and Staff housing options are limited to Cornell Courts and Westview.
