Find a Student Worker Position | Graduate Hall Director | Expand dropdownEastern Michigan University graduate hall directors (GHD) are part-time, live-in professionals responsible for assisting the complex director. GHDs are primarily responsible for supervising a staff of five to 10 resident advisors, including training, hiring and developing the paraprofessional staff. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position. | Graduate Assistants | Expand dropdownEastern Michigan University graduate assistants (GA) are part-time live-in professionals responsible for assisting our assistant directors in different specialty roles. Find a Graduate Assistant Position | Complex Director | Expand dropdownEMU Complex Directors (CD) are full-time, live-in professionals with a 12-month contract. They supervise two to three graduate hall directors (GHD), office managers (OM), and indirectly supervise resident advisors. Residence halls are all co-ed and range from 250 to 400 students. Campus apartment complexes range from 100 to 215 residents. A master's degree in higher education or related field is required. | Area Directors | Expand dropdownArea Directors (AD) are full-time, live-off professionals with a 12-month contract. The two positions supervise three to four full-time, masters-level complex directors. Additional responsibilities include working with summer camps and conferences, summer school, and departmental projects and committees. A master's degree in higher education and three years supervising staff in Housing and Residence Life is required. |
