Who We Are
Sean Woolf, Interim Director
A buckeye from Brooklyn, Sean loves to partner with students to help them reach academic and personal success. Sean serves as interim associate director for Office of Wellness and Community Responsibility. After earning his bachelor’s in theater from Kent State, Sean went on to earn two graduate degrees—one in theater from Sarah Lawrence and another in mental health counseling. He doesn’t just specialize in developing students as scholars and as people, but he also excels at telling a good knock-knock joke.
Eric Ward, Program Coordinator
The chance to make a positive difference in the lives of students gets Eric Ward out of bed every morning. That, and the possibility of perfecting the “rick-roll”. Eric works as the program coordinator for the Office of Wellness and Community Responsibility. He earned his bachelor’s in exercise sport and science from Spring Arbor University and his master’s in higher education from EMU. In his spare time, he volunteers as a civil mediator and coaches soccer in Dearborn.
Erica Cooper, Judicial Specialist
When she’s not hawking girl scout cookies with her troop, Erica Cooper is the judicial specialist for the Office of Wellness and Community Responsibility. Her desire to make an impact on students and help them navigate university processes drives her. She earned her bachelor’s in criminal justice and master’s in educational leadership right here at EMU. She’s a mom who loves quilting, sewing and walking around EMU’s beautiful campus showing off her awesome tattoos.
