  • I first went to college a long time ago. Will my credits from "back then" still be valid?

It is likely that at least some of your previous coursework will transfer to EMU. And depending on your program, your performance and the institution you previously attended, you might find that most or all of your credits are still valid. Make an appointment with an academic adviser to find out. You'll probably want to order a copy of your transcript before the discussion.

  • My performance when I first went to college wasn't the best. How will that affect my standing now?

Depending on how long it has been since you were first in college, it's likely that your youthful indiscretions will not hurt you now. EMU will be happy to make an individual assessment of your situation and give you the best possible chance to succeed on your "second try."
