Professor Karpiak publishes a series of projects in 2016

SAC Associate Professor Kevin Karpiak has had a series of recent projects reach publication this semester. He served as guest editor, and provided the Introduction, for a special issue of the journal Theoretical Criminology on "the new anthropology of police as mode of critical thought"; his newest research on police/community relations and public dissent in France after the 2015-16 terror attacks was selected as a feature article as part of the "Uncommon Sense" series in the journal Anthropology Now; and finally, he has written a reflection on recent occurrences of racial hostility on EMU's campus as part of the Anthropoliteia blog series "The #Blacklivesmatter Syllabus Project."
