Check Payments

EMU accepts check payments online, by mail, in-person, or via drop-box. To pay online with a check, visit the Ebill website. For step-by-step instructions for check payments online, click here.

To pay with check by mail, in-person, or via drop-box, please include the student number on the face of the check. Mail all payments to:

In-person payments are accepted Monday through Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm and Thursday between the hours of 9am and 5pm at 201 Pierce Hall (located at the intersection of Cross Street and College Place).

Drop-box payments may be made at any time; the drop-box is located at the northeast corner of Pierce Hall on the outside of the building.

Cash Payments

All cash payments should be made at 201 Pierce Hall from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Wednesday and Friday and also from 9am to 5pm on Thursday.

We recommend that cash is not deposited into the drop-box.

Credit Card Payments

EMU credit card payments are processed online only via PayPath.

There is a 2.75% convenience fee for this service.

MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards are accepted; EMU does not accept Visa.

Eagle OneCard Payments

Student bills may be paid using the Eagle OneCard online only.

By using the OneCard like a check, the payment online is free!

If the OneCard is used as a credit card, then the 2.75% fee applies.

Payroll Deductions (EMU Employees ONLY)

Payment via payroll deduction allows staff/faculty members to make a payment to their student account directly from their paychecks. The deduction occurs each pay period.

Print out the Payroll Deduction Form and submit it to Student Business Services by mail, fax, or in-person. Submit this form by mail to:

Tuition Waivers (EMU Employees ONLY)

Staff and faculty members may submit tuition waivers for themselves or their spouse/dependents. These waivers must be submitted by the deadline provided for a given semester. The deadlines may be viewed at the Human Resources website.

Tuition waivers may be submitted in-person, by mail, or via fax. Please submit all tuition waivers to the Human Resources Benefits Office located in McKenny Hall. Submit tuition waivers in-person to 140 McKenny Hall between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Mail all tuition waivers to:

International Payments

Eastern Michigan University has partnered with peerTransfer to offer an innovative and streamlined way to make international tuition payments. peerTransfer's mission is to save international students and their families money that would otherwise be lost on bank fees and unfavorable foreign exchange rates.

With peerTransfer, you are offered excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save a significant amount of money, as compared to traditional banks. In addition, the posting of the payment into your Eastern Michigan University account will be faster, you will be able to track where your payment is in the transfer process via a student dashboard and you will be notified via email when it is deposited into our account.

• To get started, select the country from which your funds will be coming from and the payment amount (in US dollars) you wish to make to your student bill.
• In most cases, the US dollar amount will be converted into your home currency at preferential exchange rates, which will translate into savings for you.
• After providing some basic information, you will visit your bank (via phone, online or in person) to send funds from your local bank to peerTransfer.
• peerTransfer will then convert the funds to U.S. dollars and forward the US dollar amount to Eastern Michigan University where it will be directly credited to your student billing account.
• Through the peerTransfer student dashboard you will be able to track where your payment is in the transfer process.
• You will receive an email confirmation when your payment is deposited into (Eastern Michigan University)'s bank account.
