Billing

Add an Authorized User to My Bill

Once you log into your EBill account (ebill.emich.edu), follow these steps to add an authorized user:

  • Click on the Authorized Users tab
  • Select Add an Authorized User
  • Type in the information requested
  • Choose to either Cancel or Add User
  • To authorize this user, you will need to enter the last four digits of your E-ID number and press the “I Agree” button to continue
  • Repeat this process to add multiple authorized users

Pay My Bill

(Online ACH Payment, Online with Eagle One Card, Online with Credit Card)

Steps for ACH Payments:

  1. Log onto ebill.emich.edu
  2. Click on “Make a Payment”
  3. Select “Bank Account”
  4. Click “Go”
  5. Choose “Checking” for account type and enter all required information
  6. Double check numbers for accuracy and click “Continue”
  7. Enter payment amount
  8. Click “Continue”
  9. Verify data on screen and enter last four Student ID Numbers
  10. Click “I Agree” (Remember to only click “I Agree” once – multiple clicks may produce multiple payments).

Steps for ACH payment with Eagle One Cards:

  1. Log into EMUEagleOne.com
  2. Click on “One Account Statement”
  3. Next to the name and address on the screen are the routing and account numbers – record these numbers and log into ebill.emich.edu and follow the steps above for an ACH payment

Pay Online with Credit Card:

  1. Log into your EBill (ebill.emich.edu)
  2. Click on “Payments”
  3. Choose “Pay” under the “Action” column for your most recent bill
  4. Select Payment Method – Master Card, Discover and American Express payments are processed online via Pay Path. There is a 2.75% convenience fee for this service. EMU does not accept Visa.

Set Up a Payment Plan

Once you login to your EBill account (ebill.emich.edu), follow these steps to set up a payment plan:

  • Click on Payment Plan at the bottom of the page
  • Follow the four easy steps to set up your payment plan

View My Bill

Once you login to your EBill account (ebill.emich.edu), follow these steps to view your bill:

  • Click on the EBill tab to view your most recent bill
  • To view a billing statement other than your most recent, choose the specific bill date under ‘View Statement drop down box’
  • To print your statement:
    1. Click on link to Print This Statement
    2. Hit Ok to Print Dialog Box
    3. Choose File and then Print

View My Statement of Account by Term

Account statement activity may be viewed from your EBill (ebill.emich.edu). Historical statements are available for semesters beginning Winter 2005. Information may be used for reimbursement or other purposes.

Statement will reflect the term activity and the term (not total account) balance. Once you login to your EBill account, follow these steps to view a statement of account by term:

  • Underneath “Current Account Status” click on “recent account activity” or “previous terms”
  • Click the drop-down arrow and choose desired term

Records & Registration

Print My Unofficial Transcripts

Once you login to your My.emich (my.emich.edu) account, follow these steps to print your unofficial transcript:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Follow each of these steps:
    1. Student Services
    2. Student Records
    3. Academic Transcripts
    4. Select transcript level (ALL) and type (Web)
    5. Submit
    6. Print using file menu

Register/Drop Classes

Once you login to your My.emich (my.emich.edu) account, follow these steps to register/drop a class:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Follow each of these steps:
    1. Student Services
    2. Registration
    3. Select a Term
    4. Add or Drop Classes
    5. To register, add the CRN (Course Reference Number) if known, or choose Class Search to find available classes. Hit submit changes
    6. To drop, change action status box on appropriate class to Web Drop
    7. Hit Submit Changes
    8. View your class schedule to confirm changes

Set Up My "My.emich Account"

Click on the link for your My.emich account at the main web page for Eastern Michigan University (www.emich.edu). On the main page for My.emich, click on “How do I get my username and password.”

Once the page for My.emich Account Activation opens, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Students
  2. Select Next Step
  3. Type in your student ID and PIN
  4. Hit Submit
  5. Write down/print page with your username and temporary password
  6. Choose Next Step
  7. Type in user name and password
  8. Select Login
  9. Answer challenge question and create a unique challenge question

Update My Address

Once you login to your My.emich account (my.emich.edu), follow these steps to update your address:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Follow each of these steps:
    1. Personal Information
    2. Update addresses and phones
    3. Update an existing address by selecting the link next to the corresponding address
    4. Hit the submit button
    5. Insert a new address by choosing the address type from the list and selecting Submit

View My Final Grades

Once you login to your My.emich account (my.emich.edu), follow these steps to view your final grades:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Follow each of these steps:
    1. Student Services
    2. Student Records
    3. Final Grades
    4. Select a Term
    5. Hit Submit

View My Class Schedule

Once you login to your My.emich account (my.emich.edu), follow these steps to view your class schedule:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Follow each of these steps:
    1. Student Services
    2. Registration
    3. Student Detail Schedule

Financial Aid

Accept/Decline/Adjust My Financial Aid

Once you login to your My.emich (my.emich.edu) account, follow these steps to accept, decline, or adjust your financial aid award:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Select each of the following links:
    1. Financial Aid
    2. Award
    3. Award for Aid Year
    4. Select Aid Year & Hit Submit
    5. Click on the tab “Accept Award Offer”
    6. Accept/decline or adjust desired aid

Apply for Financial Aid

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at the following web site:

  • www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • You will need to have a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to electronically sign the FAFSA. If you are considered a Dependent student, your parents will also need a PIN to sign the FAFSA. You and your parents may apply for the PIN online at www.pin.ed.gov.
  • You will need to include EMU’s school code, 002259, on your FAFSA. EMU will then receive notification of the application and package you with the best types of aid you are eligible for.

Complete My Entrance Counseling

All Stafford Loan borrowers must complete an Entrance Counseling Session at the following web site:

  • https://www.studentloans.gov
  • Under "Manage My Direct Loan" select "Sign In" and enter your personal information
  • Select "Complete Entrance Counseling"
  • Click on "Complete Entrance Counseling" and follow the steps

Complete My Master Promissory Note

All Stafford Loan borrowers must complete a Master Promissory Note with Direct Loans at the following web site:

  • https://www.studentloans.gov
  • Under "Manage My Direct Loan" select "Sign In" and enter your personal information
  • Select " Complete Master Promissory Note"
  • Select the loan type and follow the steps

View My Outstanding Requirements

Once you login to your My.emich account (my.emich.edu), follow these steps to view your outstanding requirements:

  • Click on the Student tab
  • Scroll down to the Services Main Menu
  • Select each of the following links:
    1. Financial Aid
    2. Eligibility
    3. Student Requirements
    4. Select Financial Aid Year
    5. Complete and submit documents with status of Not Yet Received
