What is SOTL Academy?

Who should attend SOTL Academy?

SOTL Academy 2011 seeks to bring together faculty, graduate students, and administrators who are interested in engaging in the scholarship of teaching and learning. SOTL encourages teaching to become community property* by publicly disseminating new knowledge regarding teaching and learning through a peer-reviewed process in the same way that discipline-specific work is distributed.

* Shulman, 2004

SOTL Academy brings together people from a variety of settings, roles, and disciplines to explore current and emerging knowledge in a welcome and positive setting. We invite new investigators who are developing emerging works. Graduate students exploring SOTL issues, independently or in collaboration with faculty, are welcome. Veterans of SOTL are invited to share their knowledge of teaching and learning, as well as insights critical to successful SOTL work.

What topics should be submitted for peer-review?
