Announcing the Availability of
Two Stonewall Scholarships,
each for $1000.00
at Eastern Michigan University
- The Stonewall Scholarship is given to EMU students who have
demonstrated leadership and/or involvement in organizations,
activities, or issues that promote a positive gay/lesbian
environment. Neither application for nor acceptance of this
scholarship indicates the sexual orientation of the applicant.
- The scholarship was created in 1999 and it has been awarded
each year since then.
- There are two $1000.00 scholarships available: one for an
undergraduate student and one for a graduate student.
- Eligibility criteria for the scholarship are:
- An undergraduate or Second Bachelors student with a minimum
EMU cumulative GPA of 2.75 who has completed 60 credit hours
(EMU earned or accepted transfer credits) and who will be
enrolled full-time in the upcoming academic year
- A graduate student who has completed 12 credit hours of
graduate courses, has a minimum GPA of 3.00 and will be
enrolled full time during the upcoming academic year
- Applications can be picked up at the LGBT Resource Center (EMU
Student Center) or downloaded in MS word form from http://www.emich.edu/stonewall/application08.doc
- The application deadline is
April 11, 2008 at 12:00 p.m.
