New Case Study Format

CORE – Community, Opportunity, Renewal & Education: Get all four by participation in the conference case study program!

This program is designed to be a central education component of the conference. Undergraduate and graduate student conference goers will participate in an exciting new rendition of the traditional case study: Point – Counterpoint style! All students who register for the conference will be assigned to various case study groups, each with a seasoned student union veteran serving as their advisor. Topics will give students an opportunity to explore and develop in greater depth the ACUI Core Competencies. Each case study group will have two teams; the teams will meet informally on Friday night, and will have designated time during an extended education session on Saturday to research and deliberate their subject; they will then debate two sides of the same topic in their presentation to the conference delegation on Sunday morning. Judges will provide feedback, but this is not a competition; all participants get a free t-shirt!
