Open Later to Serve You Better (4/15/08):
Finals are (almost) here. Need a place to study later into the night? Remember that EMU Student Center is open nightly till 2 a.m. now through April 26. Also, the Computer Lab at the Student Center is open 24/7 through the end of the semester. On Commencement Day, Sun. April 27, Student Center hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sbarro $3.99 Value Meal (4/15/08):
Now through the end of the semester, pick up a (giant) slice of Sbarro pizza (with cheese or pepperoni) and a small soft drink for $3.99. For just $1 more, you can add a warm breadstick with sauce. Now, that’s one study break that won’t break your wallet!
Cash for Books at EMU Bookstore (4/15/08):
Who couldn’t use a little extra cash at the end of the semester? EMU Bookstore (first floor Student Center) is buying back your textbooks (even if you bought them elsewhere) from Sun. April 20 through Wed. April 30. EMU Bookstore will also buy books April 22-25 at Mark Jefferson science building. Students who sell their textbooks at the EMU Bookstore will receive a 20-percent discount coupon good on all EMU clothing and gifts.
EMU Bookstore hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, please call 734-483-2850 or visit: http://www.emich.bkstr.com.
Postage Stamps at Post Office Prices (3/11/08):
Next time you’re at the Student Center, save yourself a trip to the Post Office and purchase your stamps at Post Office prices. Just ask the cashier at the Lobby Shop, located in the first floor Dining Room. You can also mail your letters at the USPS drop box, located just outside the north entrance of the Student Center (at the bottom of the sidewalk ramp). Letters are picked up twice daily on weekdays.
Warm Up to Comfort Foods (3/11/08):
Spring is just out of reach:Need something to shake off those winter chills? Check out Lobby Shop, Subway, and Panda Express at EMU Student Center for heart-warming soup selections—and don't forget Wendy's signature chili. If a steaming cup of hot cocoa hits the spot, grap a cup at Starbucks (great topped off with whipped cream). Mmmmm good!
