BETA ALPHA PSI is a nationally recognized honors accounting fraternity. It is an organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.

Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919. By 2004, there were nearly 255 chapters on college and university campuses with over 200,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi’s formation.

THE ACCOUNTING CLUB has been established at EMU for over 30 years now and is essentially EMU sister organization to Beta Alpha Psi.  Membership for this club is open to all students interested in business. This is an organization created not only for accounting majors, but for anyone interested in the accounting profession, accounting practices, or the nature of business.

The basic premise of this club is to create professional and social connections while the students develop their knowledge of the profession and get in touch with the dynamic climate of the business environment.
