Beta Alpha Psi Membership
Requirements:
1. Must be a declared Accounting,
Accounting Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or
Finance major.
2. Must have completed nine (9)
credit hours of accounting courses which must include ACC 340.
3. Must have a cumulative EMU GPA of:
-3.0 in all subjects completed, OR
-3.25 in most recent 60 semester hours, OR
-3.5 in most recent 30 semester hours.
4. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0
in all accounting courses completed (does not include Law 293, ACC
240, or ACC 241)
5. Must accumulate the following organization credits each semester:
-1 committee credit - received by
actively participating on one of the organizations committees.
-fundraising credits - fundraising credits are received by selling the
minimum amount of each semesters chosen fundraising product, OR by
participating in one hour of a particular fundraising activity.
-9 community service credits - each credit may be received by
participating in one hour of a particular community service project
coordinated, suggested or approved by the officers of the
organization.
-10 activity credits - each credit may be received by attending an
approved organization event. The ten events must consist of:
*At least 2 social events held by the organization AND
*At least 8 weekly Wednesday meetings
6. Must pay the following Beta Alpha
Psi dues:
-Local Chapter Dues $25.00
-National Pledge fee (Only Pledge Semester) $55.00
7. As pledges you must also attend:
-Banquet

Accounting Club Membership
Requirements:
Joining the Accounting Club is easy;
anyone is able to join and all you have to do is successfully
accomplish the following tasks to become a member:
1. Accumulate the following
organization credits each semester:
-1 committee credit - received by
actively participating on one of the organizations committees.
-fundraising credits - fundraising
credits are received by selling the minimum amount of each semesters
chosen fundraising product, OR by participating in one hour of a
particular fundraising activity.
-4 community service credits - each
credit may be received by participating in one hour of a particular
community service project coordinated, suggested or approved by the
officers of the organization.
-7 activity credits - each credit may
be received by attending an approved organization event. The seven
events must consist of:
-At least 2 social events held by the
organization AND
-At least 5 weekly Wednesday meetings
These required seven events will
complete the activity credit requirement. Attendance at all meetings
is encouraged greatly; however attendance at all social events would
be ideal. Participation is the key to a fun, successful, and highly
regarded organization. You decide how much fun you want to have and
how great you want to be.
2. Must pay the following Accounting
Club dues:
Local Chapter Due $25.00
3. As pledges you must also attend:
-Banquet
*A member is one that has completed
the above requirements in at least one previous semester. Those who
have yet to complete all of the requirements in one semester or are
attempting to do so for the first time are considered pledges.
