ENTRIES FITTED FOR FREEZING RAIN

I    II   III

I.

My wife told me, for my health, I must subsist on spirolina mosses.

                                                I've never heard of them.

Are they eaten by what Karavis
                                                called "'the minute thrushlings
                                                that misplace / the sun?"
                                                                                       Perhaps
                                                I misplaced the line break.
                                                                                       Perhaps
                                                I misunderstood the poet's
                                                terror,
caught in a snow of thrush
                                                and a lace of sun.
