Winter 2008 Meetings
Wednesday, April 16 We held our student teaching panel discussion at the meeting. We also elected new officers for the 2008-2009 school year.

Wednesday, March 12

Alice Dechert, a business teacher from Northville High School gave a presentation on True Colors. True Colors helps you to understand your personal strengths and to understand human behavior. At the meeting, we took a personality quiz to discover what color personality we have. Each color has particular strengths and each analyzes, conceptualizes, understands, interacts and learns differently. But these differences, if not acknowledged and understood, can become barriers to interpersonal communication, making understanding between people of different types difficult. The following handouts were distributed:
Teaching Styles of Each Color
Personality Attributes of Each Color
Relating to Other Colors (Gold and Orange)
Relating to Other Colors (Blue and Green)
Reframing (Gold and Green)
Reframing (Blue and Orange)

Wednesday, February 20 Our speaker was Gwenn Marchesano, the Media Specialist at Whitmore Lake High School. The topic of discussion was using Moodle in the classroom. Moodle is an online learning community that can be built for your classroom. To download her PowerPoint presentation, please click here.
