Meeting Minutes
Date: February 8, 2006
I. Call to Order: 8:04 p.m.

III. New Business:
1. Dues
We are still collecting the $5 dues from those interested in full membership.
Remember as a full member you must attend at least one meeting per semester and one event per year.
If you were unable to attend the meeting and still wish to turn in dues, please e-mail the President/Treasurer, John Feldkamp: jfeldkam@emich.edu.
2. Initiation
Those who have paid dues will be invited to attend initiation next Friday, February 17th at 7 pm.
Members will receive a free meal and receive a Certificate of Membership
Currently, we are planning on holding initiation at the Tower Inn.
Members will receive an e-mail to confirming their membership and requesting an RSVP.
3. Honors Showcase
HSA is hosting an Honors Showcase on April 19th in McKenny Union from 1-4 pm.
It will be an opportunity for Honors students to display the honors projects, coursework, or fellowship work that they have completed in past semesters, so other students may peruse their work and gain an idea of what honors work entails.
Applications for this event will be available at a later date, though we encourage all Honors students to start considering projects they may want to submit to this walk-through event.
4. Honors Showcase

5. Community Service
HSA is in the process of organizing a team for Relay for Life, a two-day event held in University Park on April 1st and 2nd. Teams collect donations for the American Cancer Society prior to and during the event and spend April 1st and 2nd walking laps around the park. Students Against Hunger and Homelessness (SAHAH) is serving food at the Salvation Army in Ypsilanti this Sunday, February 12. They are meeting in the VISION Office at 4:15 pm to carpool there. If you are interested, RSVP by Friday at 3:00 pm. Send your e-mail to: vis_SAHAH@emich.edu.
