Students’ History Association

The Students’ History Association is an organization aimed at any student who has an interest and a passion for history.  The Association has many events throughout the year.  These events include trips to museums such as the Arab-American Museum, Greenfield Village, and the Holocaust Museum.  There are also various talks on-campus with History Professors as the featured speakers.  These talks have included presentations and discussions on the Underground Railroad,  Women and Women’s Movements in History, as well as a presentation on the oldest Phoenician Text.  We also have several informal brown-bag lunch seminars throughout the year, including a Meet and Greet of the new History Faculty and a talk about a book that a History Professor just published.  All these events give students the chance to meet others who are interested in History as well as a chance to meet the professors.  The Association coordinates all the events with Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society.  There are no requirements for membership in the Students’ History Association.  Everyone is encouraged to join!  So if you like history please contact us at the email address provided below and let us know you would like to be put on our email list.  We will include you in all emails about events and meetings going on around campus.  We look forward to meeting you!
