30 January

Two eagerly awaited events are approaching.  The one

year anniversary edition of the Journal of PLACE is set to debut

in mid-February.

Also in February PLACE will host its conference entitled

International Planning Awareness Day.  Media on places from all

over the world will give you a glimpse into cities and planning

principles much different than those we are used to.  It is an exciting

chance to gain insight into planning in different countries and we are

excited to share this with you.

Andr¨¦ Stone, Vice President of PLACE, has graduated

and moved to Grand Rapids.  He will be missed.

Consequently we are searching for a new VP.  We are

looking for a person that would be committed to PLACE

and its activities, and motivated throughout the semester.

The rewards would include distinction among your peers and

recognition by the countless firms and local governments that

rre familiar with and support PLACE and its activities.

If you are interested please contact an_an@sbcglobal.net.
