Andrew Armbruster

Text Box: Andrew is 23 years old and a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with an Honors degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a minor in Economics.  He currently lives in Shanghai, China, home to both his heart and his future.  In this great city he is learning Mandarin and taking advantage of all that a Metropolis can offer...

“The road changed again, and yet again, and it was now too late and too far to go back, and I went on.  And the mists had all solemnly risen now, and the world lay spread before me…”

Andrew has a passion for learning about the vast and organic complexities of our urban systems.  He hopes to eventually assist in the betterment of life on this planet by spreading an enlightened understanding of the environments, both natural and artificially composed, in which we live.

Andrew also has a passion for Chinese culture and the future of China’s physical, social and educational systems.  He plans on devoting his professional life to China’s greatest city, Shanghai, in order to help build for it a sustainable future in an age where profit and politics supersede nature and proper design.

Andrew has many other interests as well, and he wishes to share them with whomever might take an interest.
