Health Careers

• Participate in an in-depth, hands-on experience of the high-demand health careers through laboratory activities, field trips, group projects and interactions with numerous health professionals.
  
• Gain new skills and find out if a health career matches your personality and interest.
  
• Visit area hospitals to observe a variety of health care professionals at work including doctors, nurses, social workers, phlebotomists, x-ray technicians, massage therapists, art therapists and occupational and physical therapists.
  
• See Survival Flight, the neonatal unit and the ER in action.
  
• Earn first-aid and CPR certification.
  
• Take classes in aerobics/cardio, aqua conditioning, stretch/flexibility, yoga/tai chi, simulated disabilities activities and nutrition workshops.
