Activities and Acomplishments
Professor Ziefert has been at EMU since 1981. Prior to joining the EMU faculty, she was a lecturer at the University of Michigan for three years. Professor Ziefert has direct practice experience in Child Welfare, family counseling and psychiatric social work. She has also directed a youth services organization and was a staff member on the Interdisciplinary Project on Child Abuse and Neglect. Professor Ziefert has authored or co-authored numerous professional articles, book chapters, training manuals, and monographs. She has also made presentations at a wide variety of professional conferences. Professor Ziefert is an active member of several state and local service organizations and has written, received funding and administered several grants. Currently she is the Co-Director of a grant for FIA employees committed to Child Welfare work. This grant, formally entitled: "Professional Education for Existing Agency Staff," and is awarded to both BSW and MSW students.
