Giving to the Symposium

Please consider joining us as a sponsor of the Undergraduate Symposium. Here are this year's advancement brochure and pledge card.

A number of giving opportunities to directly support the Undergraduate Symposium are available. Designed to enhance the student academic experience at EMU and to encourage further success in the classroom, these initiatives include undergraduate fellow appointments, endowed undergraduate-level scholarships and graduate-level fellowship awards. Gifts also support the unique operational needs of the annual Symposium event.

You may invest in EMU students and this valued tradition of Eastern Michigan University. All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged in our event program.

Giving levels for the Symposium include:

Symposium Speaker Sponsor — $3,000

Provides funding for the annual symposium speaker.

Symposium Undergraduate Research Fellow (SURF) Sponsor — $2,000 (annual commitment for five years encouraged)

Established and first awarded in 2006, the purpose of the EMU Symposium Undergraduate Research Fellow Program is to foster interest and enthusiasm for academic research at the undergraduate level through: the identification and selection of gifted students for participation in this program; the immediate partnership of these students with dedicated faculty to engage in ongoing research projects; and the culminating dissemination of the work accomplished throughout the fellowship at the annual Undergraduate Symposium.

Dual Table Sponsor — $800

Provides an event luncheon table sponsorship at both the Undergraduate Symposium and the Graduate Research Fair

Symposium Table Sponsor — $500

Symposium Honor Roll — $250
