Advancing the Symposium
Giving opportunities linked to the Undergraduate Symposium are available. Designed to enhance the student academic experience at EMU and to encourage further success in the classroom, these initiatives include undergraduate fellow appointments, endowed undergraduate-level scholarships and graduate-level fellowship awards. Gifts also support the unique operational needs of the annual Symposium event.
To this end, you may invest in EMU students and this valued tradition of Eastern Michigan University. All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged in our event program.
Sponsor giving levels for the Symposium include:
Symposium Undergraduate Research Fellow Sponsor
($2,000 annual commitment for five years encouraged)
Fellow identified with sponsor name, event luncheon table identification, one luncheon ticket, pre-event VIP reception invitation for two, and the event commemorative piece.
Established and first awarded in 2006, the purpose of the EMU Symposium Undergraduate Research Fellow Program is to foster interest and enthusiasm for academic research at the undergraduate level through:
- The identification and selection of gifted students new to EMU (first year and transfer) for participation in this program.
- The immediate partnership of these students with dedicated faculty to engage in ongoing research projects.
- The culminating dissemination of the work accomplished throughout the fellowship at the annual Undergraduate Symposium.
