presentation outlines, compares and contrasts
the advantages and disadvantages of three
methods of dispute resolution: mediation,
litigation, and arbitration and argues that
mediation is often the best form of dispute
resolution. The presentation explores different
facets of mediation, including: mediator
training and standards of practice, beginning
the mediation process, stages of the mediation
process, a mediator's tasks, qualities of
mediators, and the advantages and challenges
faced by mediators.
