Views of Homosexuality in America

In the 2004 election, 11 states passed amendments to their constitutions to prevent gay marriage from becoming legal. With homosexuality becoming such a hot-button political issue, it is important to look at the varying attitudes in the United States. Several factors influence a person’s attitudes toward homosexuality, including: race, gender, religion and political ideology. These attitudes explain why this issue heated up politically. This presentation examines how different factors affect a person’s attitudes towards homosexuality.
