The Importance of Ethics' Policies as an Area of Focus in Internal Audit Planning: A Survey of Members of the Detroit Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors

Internal auditors plan their audits based on risk assessments. The strength of an organization's internal controls including its ethical tone can reduce the risk of error, misstatement and even fraud, an estimated $652 billion problem in 2006. This study uses a survey instrument and interviews to determine the extent of ethical policy and procedure reviews and investigations conducted annually by internal audit functions belonging to the Detroit Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Designing a Student Organization Database Program in Microsoft Access

To foster and strengthen the development of EMU student organizations, the College of Business has initiated the Student Organization Management Program. Working directly with the administrators of this program, a student organization database was developed to provide detailed reports consistent with the requirements of this program. Emphasis was placed on creating a user friendly interface and generating reports automatically from the student data entered.
