Self-stratifying Automotive Top Coat Composition and Process

Technology #3012.1

Bookmark and Share

The application of multiple layers of coating is costly and presents technical challenges such as prolonged application time and the like. Our technology streamlines the process of manufacturing a coating by combining at least one multifunctional layer such as the basecoat and clearcoat into one single layer. Further, the novel coating composition preserves the current attributes and characteristics such as providing enhanced adhesion, durability, UV light screening, higher gloss and an overall simplified and rapid application.
