SFASRPO - Giving a Student Web Registration Authorization

Use the Student Registration Permit-Override Form (SFASRPO) to give authorization for the student to register for classes via the web. Examples:

  • The section is full
  • The class requires a C or better in a high school class. The advisor looks at the official High School transcripts and determines the student received a B.

Follow these directions to view information in SFASRPO:

  1. From the Banner Main menu, type the form name in the Go To... box press the [Enter] key on the keyboard.

  2. The SFASRPO form is displayed. Type the term code in the Term field.

    Note: To search for a term code, click the Term field pull-down arrow. A list of term codes are displayed. Locate and double-click the code to return to the form and display it in the Term field. See Glossary of Banner Codes and Fields for more information about term codes.
  3. If necessary, search for the student. See Searching for a Person by ID or Name for more information.

  4. Click the Next Block button on the toolbar.

  5. The Student Permits/Overrides block is populated. Type the appropriate permit code in the Permit field.

    Note: See Glossary of Banner Codes and Fields for more information.If there are more than four (4) permission codes entered, Use the Next Record button or the [Down Arrow] on the keyboard to navigate to the next available line (record). The Vertical scroll bar will also activate allowing you to use the scroll bar to navigate to all of the existing permission codes.
  6. Type the Course Reference Number (CRN) in the Course Ref. Number (CRN) field.

    Note: To search for a CRN, click CRN field pull-down arrow and see SSASECQ - Searching for Course Sections for more information.

  8. Click the Save button on the toolbar.

  9. Note: The student is now eligible to register for the class. This does not register the student; the student must still register for classes.
  10. When you are finished, click the Exit button on the toolbar to return to the Banner Main menu.

  11. Note: To delete a permission:

    1. Select the permission you want to delete. The permission highlights in yellow.
    2. Click Record on the menu bar and select remove from the menu. The permission is removed but not permanently gone.
    3. Click the Save button on the toolbar.
    4. Click the Exit button on the toolbar. The Banner Main menu is displayed.
