Personal Address Book
The Personal Address Book allows you to create an address list which can be accessed from your VoIP phone through the Directories button. From your phone you can dial numbers in your Personal Address Book .
In Call Manager (CM) you can add contacts and search and edit contacts
in your Personal Address Book.
Note: To access your Personal Address Book from your VoIP phone you will need to create a PIN in Call Manager (CM). Instructions to create a PIN can be accessed from Change PIN Number located in the navigation menu on the left.
Add Contacts to Personal Address Book
To create the personal address book in Call Manager (CM) follows the steps below:
- Log in to CM (login instructions can be accessed from Log in to CM located in the navigation menu on the left).
NOTE: If you have more than one phone you will need to specify which phone you want to create/manage a personal address book (instructions can also be accessed from Log in to CM located in the navigation menu on the left).
- Select Personal Address Book from the User Options menu.

- Click Add New to add a contact to the Personal Address Book.

- Fill in the Edit Entry fields (do not include commas, periods, dashes or spaces in phone numbers and a Nick Name is required).
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Add New button to continue adding contacts
- Click the Go button to return to the Personal Address Book.

Search and Edit Contacts in Personal Address Book
- To list all individuals in your Personal Address Book click the Find button without using the other fields.
- To change the number of individuals listed per page, click the Rows per Page drop-down arrow and select a number.

- To search for a specific individual use the drop-down filter menus.
- Enter information in the text field according to the filters selected.
- Click the Find button.

- To edit contact information click on the contacts name.

- Type the new information in the Edit Entry fields.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Add New button to continue adding contacts.
- Click the Go button to return to the Personal Address Book.
Dial a Number from Personal Address Book on Your VoIP Phone
Once you have added contacts to a Personal Address Book from your Online Call Manager you can search and dial the numbers from your Cisco VoIP phone. To access your address book and dial a contact, follow the instruction below:
- Press the directories button on the right side of your phone.
- Scroll to Personal Directory.
- If you are not logged in to your Personal Directory you will need to enter your my.emich username and the PIN you created in CM. (Instructions to create a PIN can be accessed from Change PIN Number located in the navigation menu on the left.)
- Click the Submit button.
Note: You will remain logged in until you log out at the Personal Directory menu.
- Press the Select softkey.
- Scroll to Personal Address Book.
- Press the Select softkey.
- Scroll to Nickname.
- Use the keypad to enter all (or part) of the nickname you assigned to the contact .
- Press the Submit softkey.
- Scroll to the contact if there are more than one listed.
- Press the Select softkey.
- Press the Dial softkey.
