Assisting faculty and staff is a critical part of the UACDC mission.

The University Advising and Career Development Center does more than supply academic and career guidance for students, we also help keep EMU faculty and staff trained and informed by providing critical resources, answering key questions and supporting them in many other ways.

Some important ways the UACDC can assist you

Get access to the advising hotline

Find answers to questions about general education requirements and other topics on the UACDC’s advising hotline. This service is available to faculty members responsible for advising students. Request access through your department head or the director of Academic and Career Planning, available by phone at 734.487.0400 and/or email.

Need advisor training?

Each winter, UACDC offers an intensive, five-week training class to faculty and staff who advise students. Training includes general education requirements and departmental information. To participate, contact the director of Academic and Career Planning at 734.487.0400 or by email.

Hire an EMU student

Eastern students are actively searching for campus employment opportunities all year round. Interested in hiring one? Our office uses Handshake to manage job postings. Find out more about hiring a student.

Find placement survey data

Need placement survey data? The UACDC has a wealth of graduate placement data and general information on graduates’ experiences in the jobs market, their salaries and earnings and much more, collected over years through our partnership with Institutional Research and Information Management. Refer an employer

We love helping students leverage their EMU education in the workforce! UACDC corporate relations managers work with job providers to deliver employment and internship opportunities to EMU students and graduates. If you’ve been contacted by an employer about available positions they’re looking to fill, reach out to a corporate relations manager directly or email the director of Career Development and Outreach.
