Placement Testing
The following presents a number of ways for students to either 'test out' of particular levels of courses and/or to earn college credit in an alternative format. We encourage students to take full advantage of these resources to ensure their education at Eastern Michigan University is as catered to their level of ability as possible.
1. CLEP (College Level Examination Program) Testing. CLEP helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. Developed by the College Board, Pass any of the 33 CLEP exams and achieve your college and career goals. Eastern Michigan University is a national testing site for CLEP with exam dates throughout the year.
