Heartsaver Certification

Certification Options

Our instructors are certified through the American Heart association

This course includes First Aid and CPR for adults, children and infants. The class also includes AED for adults and children. Certification cards are valid for two years and are distributed the same day, after successful completion of the course.


Class Schedule

All classes meet 9:00am - 5:00pm in Rm 112 Snow Health Center.   Enter through the north (parking lot) entrance in the back of the building.

Registration & Cost

To register for a class or check availability call 487-1122 or stop by the front desk on the second floor of Snow Health Center.

Classes are reserved on a 'first come/first serve' basis. All classes are limited to 10 people and require a minimum of 6 people. Classes fill up fast so please sign up as soon as possible. If minimum number is not met, class may be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. Classes will be added as needed throughout the year.

The full class costs $100. This includes: a textbook (student will keep textbook), manikin use and and certification card upon successful completion of the class. Payment in full is due at time of registration; we accept cash, credit, check or you can have charges billed to your student tuition account (eBill) if you are currently attending classes.

Refunds will be provided minus a $25.00 administration fee. No refunds will be granted if requested within 7 calendar days of the scheduled class or after class has occurred. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to health_service@emich.edu
