Woodiel has taught undergraduate classes on health education in the elementary grades, Instructional Skills and Strategies, Substance Use and Abuse, Current Health Issues, Womens Health, Psychosocial Health, Consumer Health, Principles of Health Education, Relationships, Life/Loss Education and Stress Management. She has taught graduate classes in Womens Health, Theoretical and Philosophical Foundations and School Health Programming and Curriculum. In addition, she has been a certified therapeutic recreation specialist.
Research interests include health behaviors associated with tattooing and piercing, coordinated school health programs and cultural competencies in health education/promotion.
