TRANSPORTATION LEADERSHIP FORUM: The Conference Of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), together with former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation and EMU graduate Rodney Slater and EMU, will hold a Transportation Leadership Forum on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the McKenny Hall Ballroom. The forum will consist of two panel discussions with major transportation leaders addressing the future of the industry. The opening panel discussion will run from 10 - 11:45 a.m. and the second panel will run from 1 - 2:30 p.m.
* NOW HIRING TUTORS FOR UPWARD BOUND: Upward Bound is now recruiting undergraduate students with work-study to serve as tutors to high school students. This would be an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy working with youth or need experience working with low-income, first-generation, underrepresented students. NEW AND IMPROVED USERNAME HELP FORM: A new version of the form used to request Banner, Xtender, ePrint, and BOE access is now available. The new form has several improvements that will make it easier to request access to many of the University's administrative systems, including pre-populating fields, requesting access by role, and allowing multiple access requests on a single form. MOVE-IN AMBASSADORS NEEDED: EMU Housing & Residence Life invites all faculty and staff to join them on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 8:30 - 11 a.m., to be Move-In Ambassadors. Each year, faculty and staff play a critical role as first-year students come to college for the first time. CALL FOR "MEIJER MANIA" VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed to help out at the annual "Meijer Mania" event on Thursday, Sept. 4, with shifts from 7 - 8:30 p.m. or 8:30 - 10 p.m. Volunteer duties include assisting vendors in product distribution and floating in specific areas of the store to assist the students.
