Senior Honors College student Kyle Martin (environmental science) earned a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, one of the most prestigious science scholarships in the U.S. The fellowship provides annual funding of $37,000 for three years for outstanding graduate students pursuing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) research.
The first class to graduate from the Normal school included Helen Norris, John M.B. Sill, and Alizina Morton in 1854.
