EMU FOOTBALL HOSTS INAUGURAL YOUTH DAY: EMU employees are invited to bring their children to the EMU football team's inaugural Youth Day on Saturday, Aug. 16, 12 - 1:30 p.m. inside Rynearson Stadium. Youth Day is designed for children from kindergarten through sixth grade. The event is open the public and there is no admission charge. FIRST ANNUAL E-HOOPS GROUP GOLF CLASSIC: Join colleagues at the First Annual Eastern E-Hoops Golf Classic on Saturday, Aug. 23 at Eagle Crest Golf Club, located at 1275 S. Huron Street in Ypsilanti. 7:00 a.m. Registration Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost is $100 per golfer or $50 for the dinner only. To register, please make your check payable to: Eastern Michigan E-Hoops and mail your check to: P.O. Box 700311, Plymouth, MI 48170. Proceeds from the event will support the EMU Men's and Women's Basketaball teams.


JOIN THE CENTER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR A MEET & GREET: Join the Center for Entrepreneurship for a Meet & Greet on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., room 401 in the College of Business. Learn about their programs including the Skandalaris Business Plan Competition, the Sesi Entrepreneurship Conference and the Elevator Pitch Competition. Discuss Student Service Learning projects with faculty and meet students from the CEO Club. Refreshments will be served. No RSVP needed. All EMU students are welcome. GREG O'DELL GOLF OUTING AT EAGLE CREST GOLF CLUB: The third and final Greg O'Dell Golf Outing will be held on Friday, Sept. 19 at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the many sponsors, family, friends, and colleagues, the three-year goal of endowing a $100,000 scholarship is well within reach. Cost for an individual golfer & dinner is $125.00, EMU Faculty/Staff Golfer & Dinner $75.00 and Dinner only $55.00.

Enhancements to this year’s golf outing include:

  • More complimentary player passes at the gold and silver sponsorship levels.
  • A reduced rate for all EMU faculty and staff.
  • A special gift for golfers who have participated in the event for all three years.
