In 1922 - Charlie Robertson of the Chicago White Sox pitched a perfect no-hit, no-run game against the Detroit Tigers. The Sox won 3-0. Another perfect game did not come along until 46 years later.
"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will." - Vince Lombardi
George Herbert Leigh Mallory (June 18, 1886 – June 8, 1924) was an English mountaineer who took part in the first three British expeditions to Mount Everest in the early 1920s. In 1924, Mallory and his climbing partner Andrew "Sandy" Irvine disappeared somewhere high on the North-East ridge during their attempt to make the first ascent of the world's highest mountain. The pair's last known sighting was only about 800 vertical feet from the summit. Mallory's body was discovered on May 1, 1999. It is unclear whether Mallory and Irvine reached the summit before they died.
