LUNCH BY THE LAKE WITH PRESIDENT MARTIN: President Susan Martin invites the campus community to enjoy Lunch by the Lake on Tuesday, August 6, from noon to 2 p.m. on the patio behind the Student Center. The President will sponsor a traditional summer picnic that includes hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, coleslaw, potato salad, watermelon, cookies and a cold beverage. Lunch is $3. RENAME THE EMU ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST: Get your creative juices flowing and you could win a Kindle Fire! The EMU Foundation challenges you (open to all EMU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members) to capture the real essence and character of EMU and help rename the EMU Endowed Scholarship. REQUIRED MIOSHA TRAINING FOR EMU EMPLOYEES: MIOSHA has updated the Hazard Communication Standard (Employees Right to Know) by adopting the Global Harmonization System. These changes to the standard require all employees to receive updated training by the December 1, 2013 deadline. A training session will be offered on Wednesday, July 24, 6-7 a.m., in room 300 in Halle. Additional training sessions will be offered through November. If you would like to schedule a training session for your department, please contact Envirionmental Health & Safety (EAS) at 487-0794 or firstname.lastname@example.org. EHS will work with departments to ensure all EMU employees are trained by the deadline.
2012-2013 PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS ARE DUE AUGUST 31: It's time to finalize your 2013 performance evaluations that cover the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. The performance management process for AP, PT, AH, AC, CC, CS, CP, and PS employees must be completed and all documents on file with Human Resources by Saturday, August 31.

Access to SuccessFactors is achieved via the Employee tab of your my.emich portal. Log in to my.emich, click the Employee tab, and the link is located in the right-hand column under the Training and Development logo. Instructor led training is being offered to the campus. Registration is required prior to training attendance and can be completed at the SurveyMonkey link listed below the training dates.
