EMU Foundation Board of Trustees elects new officersYPSILANTI — The Eastern Michigan University Foundation Board of Trustees has elected new officers for 2009-10. All serve as volunteers: Maureen Thomas, chair, EMU class of 1981, legal, risk management and operating consultant, Building Materials Holding Corp. The newly elected trustee is: Vickie Brockman Hall most recently served as vice president of human resources for the Midwest Division of Comcast Cable. Hall has over 25 years of experience in human resources specializing in field operations, employee/labor relations, acquisition and mergers, talent management and compensation/benefits. Hall received her BBA from Eastern Michigan University in 1979 and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1993. She is currently working on a Ph.D. from Capella University. Hall is involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and is currently vice president of their Vision Fair Foundation. She resides in Southfield, Mich. Dan Arbour and Lee Lien, EMU class of 1980, were granted emeritus status. Representing the University for 2009-10 are: Representing the EMU Board of Regents are: James F. Stapleton and Mohamed Okdie Professor Matt Evett will represent the EMU Faculty Council; Emeritus Professor Thomas Gwaltney will represent the emeritus faculty; Greg Sheldon will represent the Alumni Association Board of Directors; the student representative for 2009-10 is Regina Royan, EMU student body president. ###
