Eastern Michigan alumni relations hosts Homecoming Go Green alumni tailgate Oct. 3

YPSILANTI — As part of an ongoing effort to keep Eastern Michigan University alumni connected to the university and to each other, the EMU Office for Alumni Relations will host its annual Go Green Homecoming Alumni Tailgate at EMU’s Rynearson Stadium. The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 3 starting with an 11 a.m. tailgate, followed by a 1 p.m. kickoff as the EMU Eagles take on the Temple Owls.

Alumni, friends, and guests are welcome to attend. Donations for the Alumni Scholarship Fund will be collected at the entrance.

This year’s Homecoming tailgate theme is Motown, so crack out those vinyl records and your microphone and join us as we celebrate the Motor City sound!

“Homecoming is always an exciting time on campus, and one of the cornerstone events is the annual alumni tailgate,” said Vicki Reaume, executive director of alumni relations. “Our tailgates help build spirit and excitement among fans before game time. There is truly something for all ages to enjoy. Between the caricaturists, balloon artists, popcorn, and cotton candy, no one will leave feeling disappointed. Our tailgate is the ideal place for friends and families to come have fun, relax, and cheer on EMU!”

The tailgate concludes a week of exciting, spirited events on campus, including contests, activities, excursions, rallies and homecoming court elections. For other Homecoming events, go to www.emich.edu/homecoming.
