YPSILANTI —Eastern Michigan University will host the Michigan Educational Theatre Association All State Thespian Showcase March 12 at Pease Auditorium.

“We are thrilled that the event has moved to the campus of Eastern Michigan University,” said John Rutherford, theatre teacher and director at Groves. “The State Thespian Showcase will allow all of these talented actors to share their skills with one another, and with a broader audience. I think anyone interested in theatre should come and join us for a fun-filled and family friendly night.”
Ted Louis Levy, who made his Broadway debut in the smash hit Black & Blue, is the keynote speaker. Levy collaborated with George C. Wolfe and Gregory Hines on the Choreography of Jelly's Last Jam, for which he received a Tony nomination and the Outer Critics Circle Award.
