All-Steinway artist to perform at EMU alumni social in The Villages, Fla.

YPSILANTI —Eastern Michigan University alumni from The Villages, Fla. area will host a social featuring Joel Schoenhals, an all-Steinway artist, Thursday, Feb. 26, 5 - 7 p.m. at the Glenview Country Club, 3194 Glenview Rd, The Villages.

Alumni, friends and guests are welcome to attend. The cost for the event is $15; reservations are required.

Schoenhals, who has established himself as one of the leading pianist-teachers of his generation, will perform during the social.

An associate professor of piano at EMU, Schoenhals was named to the international roster of Steinway artists in 2007.

“These events are great ways for alumni to network and reconnect with old friends, as well as meet EMU’s new president, Susan Martin,” said Vicki Reaume, executive director of alumni relations. 

Guests will have the opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater, meet with Martin, and hear about the exciting changes that are taking place at the university.
